Accountant OpportunitySumBridge is hiring an Accountant to join our retail client for a fully remote project-based role. (likely 4-6 months) The Accountant role will support a number of areas of their general accounting team, including working on a large balance sheet reconciliation clean-up project, process documentation, and other tasks as assigned to support the team. The Accountant works with a collaborative team, offers competitive compensation and benefits including healthcare and PTO.
The role is fully-remote within the state of Washington, and will be required to work in standard business hours.Job Responsibilities:Prepare assigned journal entries and balance sheet reconciliationsCompletes monthly accounting close efforts, process and calculation of transactions, and prepare auditable account reconciliationsCreate and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of accounting transactions as needed.Perform other accounting duties as assignedJob Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required5+ years of relevant accounting experience showing progressing level of responsibility and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experience in a shared service environment is helpfulStrong Excel skills with at least 3 years' experience with Microsoft Office preferredProficient in NetSuite (this is a must have), MS Excel and other Microsoft Office products.Experience within corporate retail environments or e-commerce is preferred but not required.Experience working within a team environment where communication is prioritized and collaboration is welcome.
