Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Zero Trust Cyber Security Engineer will assess, implement, and maintain the Veterans Administration's Zero Trust architecture, ensuring the security of digital assets while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the Zero Trust framework. Key responsibilities Assess infrastructure compliance with the Department of Defense Zero Trust Maturity Model and produce Monthly Maturity Scorecard reports Create and update dashboards for compliance reporting and recommend improvements for Zero Trust Pillars Collaborate with the ZTA Pillar Leads to develop Engineering and Implementation plans for Zero Trust Use Cases across VA information systems Required qualifications Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience or 18+ years of established industry experience Proven experience in implementing and maintaining Zero Trust architectures In-depth knowledge of Zero Trust principles, IAM, micro-segmentation, and network security Experience in dashboard creation and familiarity with relevant industry regulations such as NIST 800-207 Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
