Overview
Youth Director – First Congregational Church – Rockford, MI. Part-time position focused on discipling middle school and high school students.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and programming for youth ministry serving middle and high school students.
- Develop youth programs, activities, and events in alignment with Christian Education and Bible teachings.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers; work with families and church teams.
- Communicate effectively with youth, parents, and church leadership; build a welcoming, inclusive environment.
- Coordinate retreats and mission trips as part of the youth program.
Qualifications
- Passion for discipling youth and experience in youth ministry.
- Education or applicable experience in working with youth.
- Energetic, enthusiastic self-starter who connects with youth.
- Knowledge of program development, Christian Education, and Bible teachings.
- Experience recruiting and working with volunteers.
- Excellent communication, organization, and people skills.
