Youth Director Job Description
Grades 7‑12 – July 21, 2026
Qualifications
- Have an active relationship with Jesus Christ as your Savior
- Love youth and their families and support their walk with Christ
- Must feel a calling from God to be in youth ministry
- Possess strong leadership and organizational skills
- Communicate and form relationships with youth, families, volunteers, and church staff
- Commit to moral purity and maintain a biblical lifestyle and integrity
- Must agree with the church’s “Statement of Faith” outlined in the CONSTITUTION AND COVENANT
Accountability
- The Youth Director reports directly to the Senior Pastor and is accountable to the Pulpit Committee and Board of North Christian Church.
- All candidates will have to undergo a background check prior to employment.
- Must attend the New Member class and become a member of this church.
- Will support the ministry of North Christian Church with the attendance of immediate family (if applicable).
Responsibilities
- Research devotions, study lessons, and teach the youth weekly lessons that stress core biblical principles and lead discussions that encourage spiritual growth
- Communicate with parents/guardians through email, social media, and phone/text messaging
- Organize volunteers to assist with youth
- Assist the youth in planning youth services on the fifth Sunday of the month
- Attend 2 summer camps (Jr High/Sr High, 10 days)
- Compile age and church appropriate games for youth
- Communicate with the church secretary about youth events that affect the calendar
- Plan and organize fund raising
- Meet with the youth weekly throughout the calendar year
- Youth finances are to be maintained by the Youth Finance Committee.
This is a part‑time position that will require 20‑25 hours per week. Starting salary is $20,000.
