These values - integrity, patient-centered, respect, accountability, and compassion - must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day.The YNHHS Building Systems Engineer Program Manager leads high level, cross functional initiatives for the health system's physical and technical infrastructure, ensuring that capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, and system renewals align with long term organizational strategy. This role focuses on mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems, vertical transportation (elevators), and other critical infrastructure across Yale New Haven Health System, consisting of 12 million square feet of hospital, research, and outpatient portfolio. The YNHHS Building Systems Engineer Program Manager works in close partnership with the Strategic Asset Program Manager. The Asset Manager owns the data, analytics, FCI modeling, and capital prioritization inputs, while the YNHHS Building Systems Engineer Program Manager owns program execution, cross functional coordination, and delivery of infrastructure projects. Together, they form a unified enterprise capital strategy without duplicating responsibilities. This position ensures that infrastructure projects are scoped, coordinated, and delivered consistently across all sites. EEO/AA/Disability/VeteranResponsibilitiesLead enterprise level infrastructure program planning for MEP systems, Building Envelope, and elevatorsAlign capital projects with long term system strategy, reliability goals, and regulatory requirementsCoordinate cross functional teams (Engineering, Facilities Ops, Construction, IT/OT, Finance) for infrastructure initiativesDevelop enterprise infrastructure standards, design criteria, and technical guidelinesOversee scoping, prioritization, and sequencing of major infrastructure renewal projectsPartner with the Strategic Asset Program Manager to integrate FCI, lifecycle data, and CMMS insights into project planningManage enterprise wide infrastructure risk assessments and mitigation strategiesSupport capital budgeting, cost estimating, and multi-year infrastructure planningEnsure consistent execution of infrastructure projects across all sitesOversee vendor, consultant, and contractor coordination for infrastructure programsSupport commissioning, turnover, and integration of new infrastructure assetsMonitor project performance, schedule, and risk across the infrastructure portfolioFacilitate cross site communication and knowledge sharing on infrastructure best practicesEnsure compliance with NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, DOH, TJC, and other regulatory requirementsCommunicate infrastructure risks, priorities, and program status to system leadershipQualificationsEDUCATIONBachelors degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field. PE, PMP, CxA, or similar credential preferred. Professional association membership (ASHE, NFPA, ASHRAE, APPA) and OSHA 30 preferred.EXPERIENCEMinimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure program management, capital planning, or engineering; healthcare preferred.

Experience with MEP systems, elevators, and critical infrastructure projects. Close computer work with intense concentration more than half of the day. Ability to discern color, ability to hear conversations and telephone communications clearly. The physical working environment will be a well-lit and ventilated office space with a work area and access to plotters, scanners, and printers. Part-time working environment will require visits to construction and renovation sites.
