Yard AssociateKimps Ace Hardware is seeking an hourly yard associate to assist with the manual task throughout the store. Your strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude will make you an asset to our team.Essential Functions:Preparing equipment for incoming rental reservationsInspect equipment for damages, check hour meter readings, cleanliness, and fuel level upon returnAnswer incoming rental phone callsPrepares rental contracts and obtain proper documentation with use of computers (we will provide training on our software).Demonstrate equipment for customersOperate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment (we will provide training on the proper use of our equipment).Load and unload trailers and trucksExecute deliveries and pick-upsAbility to safely operate power toolsAssists with in store salesOther manual labor duties as assignedJob Qualifications:Valid driver's licenseWilling to work on a weekend rotationPaid overtime during busy seasonsMust be able to lift over 50 pounds frequentlyMust possess the ability to stay on task & complete work in a timely mannerStrong attention to detailWillingness to follow company policiesPrevious experience in customer service (preferred but not required)Experience with equipment (preferred but willing to train)The ability to communicate effectively with customers and team membersStrong phone communication skillsIntermediate computer skillsDiligent attention to safetyOur values are centered on mutual respect, job satisfaction, and a shared responsibility to build a great team and efficient work environment.Recommended to be 18 years or older to apply
