As a Yacht Bottom Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, priming, and painting the lower hulls of yachts, ensuring high-quality finishes that protect against corrosion and marine growth. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of paint types and application techniques, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Requirements:
- Prepare yacht bottoms by sanding, scraping, and cleaning surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
- Apply primers, anti-fouling paints, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform necessary touch-ups or repairs.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations related to paint application and disposal.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Heavy equipment operating experience
- Previous marina yard work
- Travel lift experience plus
- Knowledge of operating, securing, rigging/de-rigging a vessel
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated team player
- Clean driving record
- Permanent authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship available
