X-ray/CT Tech PositionSign on Bonus!Job SummaryThe X-ray/CT tech competently operates in two or more modalities within Riverview Health's Imaging department. The x-ray/CT tech performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment and is responsible for designated areas or procedures as required. Week 1 Saturday & Sunday 11a-11p, and Week 2 Saturday & Sunday 11a-11p.

On call and holiday rotation required for this position. We will cross train applicants into CT with a 1-year commitment. $8,000 sign-on bonus.Job ResponsibilitiesCommunicates with the patient in a professional manner, explaining the procedure and addressing patient questions or concerns.Positions patients and accurately selects anatomic and technical parameters.Implements radiation protection and safety protocols and standards.Prepares, performs and assists the physician in special and advanced procedures.Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.Observes and reports general physical and mental condition of patients for signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change.Other duties as assigned including covering clerical, administrative duties as needed.Education RequirementsMinimum: Graduate of an approved Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).Experience RequirementsMinimum: Diagnostic radiology experience and competent in secondary modalityPreferred: Additional modality experienceLicense/Certification RequirementsState Issued License - YesCPR - YesACLS - N/APALS - N/AType of Specialty Certification, if required: American Registry of Radiologic TechnologyQualificationsEducationPreferred: Associates or better in Radiologic Technology.Bachelors or better in Radiologic Technology.Licenses & CertificationsRequired: ARRT-RadiographyBLS- Basic Life SupportEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
