X-ray Technologist - Woodhull

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an X‑ray Technologist at Woodhull.

Job Responsibilities

• Adjust switches regulating length and intensity of exposure.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of service rendered.
• Make minor adjustments to equipment.
• Assist in therapy requiring application of radium or radioactive isotopes.
• Position patient under x‑ray machine, adjust immobilization devices, and affix lead to plates to protect unaffected areas.
• Assist in treating diseased or affected areas of body, under supervision of physician, by exposing area to specified concentrations of X‑rays for prescribed periods of time.
• Specialize in taking X‑rays of specific areas of body.
• Apply roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
• Administer drugs or chemical mixtures orally or as enemas to render organs opaque.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Associate’s Degree or Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• New York State Radiologic Technology License. New York State Radiologic Technology Permit can be accepted in lieu of receiving NYS License.

Preferred Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in general radiology and knowledge of the PACS system.

Salary

The salary range for this role is $93,712.71 to $105,621.81 annually.
