X-Ray Technologist – Part-Time/Per Diem

Responsibilities

• The Technologist operates X-ray equipment to create radiographs of designated body parts.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
• Positions patients using immobilization devices.
• Monitors, records, and communicates appropriately using computerized documentation systems.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff, and provides a safe environment for administering contrast material.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Position Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT certification.
• Current Pennsylvania license or permit to practice medical imaging.
• Excellent patient care and good customer service skills.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
