Job Summary
The Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing high‑quality diagnostic digital x‑ray images while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety regulations and proper documentation. The role requires clear communication with patients, radiologists, and other team members, and may include training new radiology technologists and Patient Coordinators.
Responsibilities
- Produce high‑quality diagnostic x‑ray images.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and documentation when working with patients and radioactive materials.
- Screen patients for contraindications and perform aseptic injection techniques.
- Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
- Assist in training new Radiology Technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
- Troubleshoot the X‑ray unit and peripheral equipment, including computers and PACS.
- Maintain patient safety protocols during imaging procedures.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- ARRT (R) certification and state license, if applicable.
- CPR certification required.
- Valid state driver’s license (as applicable).
- For fixed setting: Successful completion of a radiology school and ability to work at multiple locations.
- For mobile setting: Minimum of one year of radiography or digital x‑ray experience preferred; local travel may be required.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
- Flexibility to work in multiple settings.

Physical Requirements
- More than 50% of the time: Sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs; see, speak and hear to communicate with patients.
- Less than 50% of the time: Stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift (including moving non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or exam).
