X‑Ray Technologist – Float (Job Overview)
At Legacy Community Health, we provide community‑based health care. As an X‑Ray Technologist – Float, you will deliver high‑quality diagnostic radiographs that support patient health and well‑being.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostic radiographs as requested by medical providers.
- Ensure optimal functioning of radiology equipment and report any issues.
- Participate in continuing education to keep your skills sharp and meet licensure requirements.
- Embrace additional tasks as assigned, contributing to the team's success.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited diagnostic imaging program.
- Medical Radiologic Technologist General Certification issued by the Texas Medical Board.
- Radiography ARRT‑R.T. (R‑ARRT) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Certification in Basic Life Support / First Aid / CPR.
- Experience with general office equipment and Digital Radiography (DR).
- Two‑year prior diagnostic imaging experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in Pediatrics and Geriatrics preferred.
- Produces high quality images: determines technical exposure factors, identifies and removes artifact‑producing objects, and utilizes shielding devices to protect the patient, self, and others.
