Position Summary: The CT Tech/Radiology Tech performs radiology and CT procedures, conducting diagnostic evaluations of patients while providing clinical instruction to students. They follow pain management protocols and maintain records and supplies.

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts CT and Radiology procedures and diagnostic evaluations, applying exposure parameters according to patient needs.
  • Assesses patient needs relevant to procedures.
  • Stocks rooms with supplies and maintains an organized working area.
  • Maintains records for patient safety and diagnostic quality, performing Quality Assurance/Quality Control checks as needed.
  • Utilizes radiation protection measures and follows hospital policies for pain management and restraint use.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with PACS and MediTech systems.
  • Provides clinical instruction to students and mentors new techs.
  • Performs other assigned duties.

Education & Training Requirements:

  • Current ARRT certification (R), with preferred experience in CT (not required).
  • Current NM State license.
  • AHA BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
