X-Ray Technologist

Position Summary

Responsible for assisting physician in patient care, performing all necessary x‑rays, with a high degree of quality, escort patients to rooms, medical assistance as needed, order medical and x‑ray supplies, maintain x‑ray records.

Position Responsibilities/Standards

General

• Attend department, clinic or company meetings as required
• Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns
• Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members
• Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary
• Attend required annual in‑service program and/or required CEU’s
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures
• Consistently demonstrate attention to detail in documentation, recording and patient information
• Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor

Specific Duties

• Escort patients to x‑ray suite
• Prepare patients for x‑ray
• Perform x‑rays as required by physicians
• Perform C‑ARM procedure
• Document procedure performed in log book
• Escort patients back to exam rooms
• Communication with physicians, patients and staff
• Medical assistance as needed
• Be available to physicians during office hours
• Ensure equipment is maintained properly
• Order x‑ray supplies as needed
• Pulling, filing and mail back of x‑rays
• Answer patient questions

Additional Duties

• OSHA
• Travel to satellite offices as necessary
• Rotating Saturdays maybe needed

Education/Experience Required

• Must be ARRT and Ohio Radiography license

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects. Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel. Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift 25-50 lbs.
