- Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times
- Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding
- Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards
- Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort
- Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam
- Perform x-rays in accordance to center’s protocol
- Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam
- Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program
- Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate
- Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam
- Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise
- Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed
- Contrast administration
Requirements
- Must be certified in CPR
- Must be MA State licensed
- A minimum of 3 months of prior xray experience is required
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required
- Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
- Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
