Responsibilities
- Performs excellent radiographs with little or no repeat films in a timely manner.
- Accurately records data with films.
- Works well with all types of patients and presents a friendly professional demeanor.
- Checks orders, organizes paperwork, and presents to Radiologist in a professional and confident manner.
- Verifies all information.
- Informs proper person of needed supplies and keeps rooms stocked and cleaned.
- Obtains accurate phone reports and relays messages.
- Performs EKGs.
- Runs own films and utilizes PAC/RIS as needed.
- Fosters a team effort by offering to help with other duties as needed or requested.
- Uses initiative to assist without being asked.
- Merges previous images into the PACs.
- Scans previous reports and outside orders into the RIS.
- Calls inside and outside sites to locate prior exams.
- Puts idle time to good use in other areas as needed.
- Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.
- Demonstrates the attitudes and behaviors of The South Bend Clinic Service Standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned when appropriate.
- Adheres to HIPAA guidelines set forth in Clinic policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification/License: ARRT Registered Technologist. Radiologic Technologist license in the State of Indiana.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good knowledge of general radiology procedures.
- Proficient in the use of computers and digital radiography systems, including RIS and PACS.
- Friendly, attentive, helpful, and shows concern for others.
- Positive attitude/outlook.
- Initiative, problem solving, and self-motivation.
