More than 2,500 team members at more than 70 Tidelands Health locations bring our healing mission to life each day.A Brief Overview The Physician Office Radiologic Technologist performs patient diagnostic radiographs for review and interpretation by Healthcare providers within the protocol set by the area, within company policy and protocol and within defined standards and scope of practice by the SC certifying agency as well as completed other duties as assigned to assist with patient flow and other areas of patient service management within the scope or certification.What you will doResponsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations, including positioning patients so desired anatomy will be demonstratedProvide excellent patient care and effective communication that is essential to the performance of a variety of proceduresPerforms accurate documentation of patient medical records, including documentation of patient medical history before an examDetermine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathologyAssume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patientsEducation QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED with Limited Certification in Radiology RequiredAssociate's Degree in Radiologic Technology program PreferredExperience QualificationsPrior Radiologic experience PreferredPrior Medical office or Hospital based service PreferredSkills and AbilitiesExcellent overall customer service skillsLicenses and CertificationsLimited Practice Radiographer - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association RequiredBasic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 Days RequiredAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association PreferredPhysical Demand Light Physical Demand The intent of this job description is to provide a representative and level of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of positions given this title and shall not be construed as a contract for employment nor a declaration of the total of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
