Overview of the MRI & Xray Tech Role
Under the guidance of the Radiology Director, Radiology Manager, and clinical supervision of Radiologists or Supervisors, the MRI & Xray Tech independently performs MRI and X-ray procedures with minimal supervision. Flexibility to cross-train in other Diagnostic Imaging modalities is expected based on departmental staffing needs.
Position Summary
Under the guidance of the Radiology Director, Radiology Manager, and clinical supervision of Radiologists or Supervisors, the MRI & Xray Tech independently performs MRI and X-ray procedures with minimal supervision. Flexibility to cross-train in other Diagnostic Imaging modalities is expected based on departmental staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI and X-ray procedures accurately and efficiently
- Maintain competencies across multiple diagnostic imaging modalities
- Ensure documentation and certification renewals are up-to-date annually
- Collaborate with radiology team to deliver quality patient care
Qualifications & Skills
- ARRT certification and Vermont State license required
- Advanced MRI Certification preferred
- Ability to adapt to cross-training in various modalities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
