Responsibilities
- Perform all radiologic (X-ray and CT) techniques and examinations, administering contrast as prescribed and obtaining complete, high‑quality diagnostic images for radiologists.
- Assist physicians during procedures while adhering to sterile technique guidelines.
- Obtain pertinent patient history, review physician orders for accuracy, and record pertinent information.
- Monitors and maintains essential patient care, safety, and compliance during procedures; apply safety principles as identified by established policy.
- Provide safe patient transport and handling.
- Maintain order, cleanliness of rooms and equipment in accordance with infection control guidelines.
- Perform routine quality control on X‑ray and CT equipment.
- Assist in other areas, such as reception duties and clerical responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management, and with accrediting and regulating bodies.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly, troubleshoot malfunctions, and submit work order tickets for repairs.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Experience: 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist, performing all CT procedures independently.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid and current California CRT, ARRT Certification & Registration R.T. (R)(CT), California Fluoroscopy certificate (may obtain within 6 months of hire), BLS Certification, Venipuncture Certificate or equivalent (may obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Required Skills & Knowledge: Ability to perform diagnostic imaging that adheres to department and hospital protocol, policies, and procedures; excellent written and oral communication skills (bilingual a plus); commitment to excellence and high standards while working with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
Compensation
Actual compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
