Job DescriptionA reputable leader in the custom residential construction industry seeks a General Operations Manager in Wytheville, VA.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of custom home building, experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, a strong work ethic, problem-solving abilities, and a leadership style focused on serving others.It is preferred that the candidate is familiar with the Wytheville / Tri-Cities region and has established relationships with local vendors and subcontractors to facilitate a smooth transition into the role.We are in search of an individual with a positive attitude and exceptional leadership skills to guide our Production & Sales processes while fostering team growth.Here is an overview of key responsibilities:Priorities Overview:Assess new leads with Sales TeamReview advertising strategies and approve budgetsProvide weekly updates to Division PresidentMonitor sales pipeline, contracts, starts, warranties, settlements, etcDiscuss projections and obstacles with managers and Corporate leadershipConduct job inspections when necessaryFacilitate final review meetingsConduct plan reviewsRecruit, hire, train, mentor, and supervise employees, subcontractors, and vendorsUtilize networking skillsNegotiate contracts and engage subcontractors and suppliersReview overhead costs and analyze general P&L statementsHandle customer concerns and communicate resolutionsCompensation & Benefits:401K retirement planCompetitive salary (estimated at $125-150k/year based on experience) + BonusesPerformance-based bonus structure (3% of volume)Health insurance coverageMonthly vehicle allowance of $1100Monthly cell phone allowance of $75Paid time off, vacation days, and holidays
