Wound Care RN Job Details
- Location: Bridgeton, Missouri (63044) – St. Louis area
- Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation / Wound Care Unit
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Shift: Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Schedule: 3x8 hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: August 18, 2025
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 - $2250
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state
- Wound Care Certification (WCC required; CWCN, CWOCN, or CWS preferred)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required prior to first shift
- Minimum 2 years of wound care nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Lead and coordinate the wound care program, setting clinical standards across hospitals and healthcare programs
- Develop and implement evidence-based wound management protocols and clinical algorithms
- Oversee competency evaluation and education for clinicians in wound care best practices
- Collaborate with medical leadership on wound care initiatives, research, and quality improvement measures
- Create educational modules and teaching tools for nursing staff, patients, and families
- Analyze wound care trends and identify opportunities for performance improvement
- Maintain a database for tracking staff education, competency, and credentials
- Promote patient safety and employee safety in all aspects of care and the healthcare environment
- Float to other facilities within the St. Louis market as needed
