nJob Summary:
nWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mobile Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with acute and chronic wounds, ensuring the highest level of care in a mobile setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, autonomy, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
nKey Responsibilities:
nProvide comprehensive wound assessments and treatment plans for patients in their homes, skilled nursing facilities, and other care settings.
nPerform debridement procedures (sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, mechanical) as necessary.
nUtilize advanced wound care techniques, including negative pressure wound therapy, compression therapy, and biologic dressings.
nAssess for and manage wound infections, collaborating with physicians for antibiotic therapy when needed.
nEducate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on wound prevention, treatment, and management strategies.
nCoordinate care with primary care providers, home health agencies, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care.
nDocument patient encounters in an EMR system in compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
nMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal healing outcomes.
nStay up to date with the latest evidence-based wound care practices and guidelines.
nQualifications:
nLicensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Nevada.
nBoard certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology NP (AGNP), or other relevant certification.
nCertified Wound Specialist (CWS), Wound Care Certification (WCC), or similar is preferred.
nMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in wound care, dermatology, home health, or related specialty.
nStrong ability to work independently and autonomously in the field.
nExcellent communication and documentation skills.
nMust have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the service area.
nThis is a remote position.
