Responsibilities

• Provide wound care services to patients with chronic wounds, including surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, and diabetic foot ulcers


• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' wounds, including measurements, photographs, and documentation


• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans, incorporating evidence-based treatments and interventions


• Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, dressing changes, and self-care measures


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care


• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including wound measurements, treatment plans, and outcomes

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas


• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of wound care principles and practices


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
