Overview
We are looking for a Workload Automation Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, scheduling, and troubleshooting automated batch jobs across enterprise systems, with strong experience in server-side administration and Unix/Linux environments.
Location & Duration
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid/Onsite as applicable)
Duration: Long-term / 12+ months
Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage new jobs in the workload automation environment.
- Monitor daily batch processes to ensure timely execution and completion.
- Troubleshoot job failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize scheduling performance and reliability.
- Perform server-side administration tasks related to automation infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to operational standards and change management processes.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with workload automation tools (e.g., CA Workload Automation, RunMyJob, or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of job scheduling, dependency management, and monitoring.
- Experience troubleshooting automation failures and system performance issues.
- Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and command-line utilities.
- Experience in server-side administration and scripting (Shell, Bash, or similar).
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Preferred
- Experience using RunMyJob tool.
