Workforce ConnectorSalary: $55,000 + benefitsClassification: Non-ExemptScope of Position:The Workforce Connector is in the community, conducting outreach, providing career navigation support, and ensuring jobseekers have access to employment and training resources. This position will build relationships with agencies, educational institutions, and community-based organizations to connect participants to available services and to aid individuals who need further assistance. This position will maintain functional supervision of services provided to the community.Essential Functions:Meet with agencies to build a positive, collaborative working relationshipProvide functional leadership and guidance of services provided to the communityProvide backup leadership and operational support to regional offices as neededMeet with educational institutions to learn about their programs and servicesMeet with community organizations to learn about their missions and share information about our mission and goalsWork with partner agencies and employers to meet the needs of our customersEmploy various methods to ensure goals are achievedRecruit applicants through proven recruitment and outreach strategies such as satellite sites, job fairs, social service organizations, career exploration events, schools, and other potential referral sourcesConduct timely, accurate, and complete eligibility determination for program applicantsMaintain current knowledge of state and local guidelines and regulationsEnroll participants into WIOADisseminate information about our program to community-based organizationsCommunicate with other departments and management to resolve problemsFacilitate workshopsSchedule onsite presentations by community partners for our customers on various topics through workshopsDevelop strategies with staff on how to best work with all agencies, educational institutions, and community-based organizationsMeet performance criteria on a weekly, monthly, and annual basisAct as liaison between various departments to meet customer needsOther opportunities as availableEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experienceExperience in human services, sales, training, and interpersonal skillsExperience in a team-oriented environmentRegional travel is requiredProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsValid driver's license and clean driving record requiredAbout EDSI:EDSI is a progressive, forward-thinking, family-owned company that is B Corp Certified.
