Workers' Compensation Manager

Role Description The Workers' Compensation Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New Haven or Hartford, CT, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of workers’ compensation cases. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and handling claims files, coordinating with attorneys, insurers, medical providers, and clients, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation. The role involves assessing claims exposure, monitoring case progress, and implementing strategies to resolve matters efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Workers’ Compensation Manager will also attend regular hearings for all levels of comp cases. Collaboration, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential to success in this position.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in claims management and claims handling, ideally within a legal or insurance environment.
• Strong knowledge of CT workers’ compensation claims processes, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, and external partners.
• Prior experience in a law firm, claims department, or insurance carrier is preferred.
