Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant

Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham, a growing civil litigation firm with offices throughout North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to join our team.

This role provides comprehensive administrative and case management support to our Workers' Compensation attorneys, helping navigate claims smoothly through the North Carolina Industrial Commission (NCIC).

The Ideal Candidate

·        Has ideally 1-3 years of workers’ compensation experience

·        Possesses a good understanding of NCIC rules, procedures, forms, and e-filing procedures

·        Organizes legal documents in preparation for court proceedings

·        Communicates effectively with various court personnel

·        Assists with scheduling and updating attorney calendars

·        Exhibits polished written and verbal communication skills

·        Possesses strong organizational skills

·        Has excellent computer skills, with preferred experience using NetDocuments

·        Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask under tight deadlines.

Important Location Note

This position will initially be mostly remote while the firm transitions from its current shared office space in Belmont, NC to a dedicated office location in western Charlotte, NC. The firm expects that move to occur in 2027. Once the new Charlotte office opens, this position is expected to follow a hybrid schedule, working both remotely and in-office based on business needs. Candidates should be willing and able to commute to the new western Charlotte location.
