Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in workers' compensation proceedings , including hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Conduct legal research , analyze complex issues, and draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and settlement documents.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
- Manage cases efficiently, ensuring adherence to firm policies and deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients at all organizational levels to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- 2+ years of Workers Comp Defense experience
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and craft strategic solutions.
- Proactive, client-focused, and technologically proficient.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Dexterity to operate office equipment such as a keyboard and phone.
- Ability to read printed and digital materials, communicate effectively in person and by phone, and travel to court as needed.
- Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 15 pounds.

- Salary range: $100,000 - $220,000 annually
