This position will oversee and handle all workers' compensation claims for the organization, in addition to the oversight of the company's Third-Party Administrators.
This role reports directly to the Sr. Claims Manager and will also communicate with external partners. This exciting and important role will be integral in ensuring Cinemark's Workers' Compensation claims process is aligned with industry best practices, fits the company culture and business strategy, and provides great value to our team members.ResponsibilitiesTriages new incidents, conducts initial investigations, and collaborates with TPA on handlingCollects pertinent information for TPA, as neededAnalyzes claim costs, makes recommendations, and mitigates exposure by expediting closure with appropriate action plan in collaboration with the Third-Party Administrator and/or InsurerManages the multi-state Return to Work ProgramCoordinates directly with team members, adjusters, case managers, and medical providers for quick resolution of claims and ensures the program is followedOversees monopolistic state worker's compensation claims for OH and WAActs as liaison to claims adjusters and attorneys regarding litigated claimsUtilizes and updates files in Risk Management Information System (RMIS)Ensures multi-state compliance in the claim management processCoordinates, attends and leads litigation planning conferences with defense counsel and Third-Party Administrator on litigated mattersSupports Risk Management with day-to-day requests, analyzing loss trends and strategy, ad-hoc reporting, and other related projectsOversees regulatory WC state postings during renewalAdditional tasks as requested by supervisor, and may have opportunity to assist with General Liability mattersRequirements7+ years of hands-on Workers' Compensation adjusting experience, managing claims within a Risk Management Department or the Claims Department of an insurance carrier or Third-Party Administrator2+ years of Customer Service experience with a proven record of success3+ years of Workers' Compensation Litigation Management experienceAll-Lines Adjuster License or Workers' Compensation Adjuster LicenseAssociate in Claims (AIC), preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAn understanding of legal principles related to Workers' CompensationKnowledge of Workers' Compensation procedures in monopolistic states – OH and WAAbility to think analytically and logically to make independent decisionsExcellent communication skills and ability to work with external partnersMulti-state jurisdictional experience is a plusHigh level of enthusiasm and energyStrong organizational skills and ability to work under competing deadlinesMust be detailed and results orientedProficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Etc.) and RMIS and/or Claims systemsBenefits Available:At Cinemark, we believe every team member should feel like a hero.
