Workers' Compensation Senior Trial Attorney Or Trial AttorneyA highly regarded insurance carrier is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Senior Trial Attorney or Trial Attorney in Farmington, Connecticut. This position is hybrid: two days onsite; three days remote with travel for legal proceedings and related matters. Base salary is $130K-$168K at the Trial Attorney level with a 10% bonus; $145K-$175K at the Senior Trial Attorney level with a 15% bonus.

Comprehensive benefits include health coverage, retirement plan with employer match, paid time off, and professional development support.Primary DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the defense of a wide range of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution. The position requires exceptional client communication skills, documented trial skills as well as the ability to report and respond to the carrier with insight and timeliness. Additional duties include the following:Independently represent clients in workers' compensation matters before the courtDevelop and execute defense strategies based on legal and factual analysisConduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and discoveryManage all aspects of litigation, including trials and appealsCommunicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and the courtProvide timely legal advice and case updatesPrepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and court appearancesEnsure efficient and timely resolution of assigned casesAssist in developing training materials and presenting to internal teamsMaintain compliance with professional standards and ethical guidelinesTravel as needed for court appearances, depositions, and meetingsStay current with legal developments through continuing educationRequirementsExtensive litigation experience (7+ years for the Trial Attorney; 15+ years for the Senior Trial Attorney)Minimum 7+ years of Connecticut workers' compensation experienceJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law schoolActive Connecticut Bar membership in good standingStrong trial, research, writing, and analytical skillsFamiliarity with legal case management systems and standard office softwareTrial experience and multi-state bar admission preferredFrink-Hamlett Legal Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and all applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination based on race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or citizenship status.
