The Workday Training Specialist supports the successful adoption of Workday by designing, developing, and delivering effective end-user training. This role partners closely with functional leads, change management, and project teams to ensure employees are prepared to use Workday confidently at go‑live and beyond. The position is highly focused on Train‑the‑Trainer execution, content development, and knowledge transfer in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Workday training subject matter expert, supporting HR and Finance Workday modules
  • Design and develop training materials, including job aids, quick reference guides, simulations, and instructor‑led content
  • Execute Train‑the‑Trainer programs to enable internal trainers and super users
  • Deliver end‑user training sessions (virtual and/or in‑person) as needed
  • Partner with Change Management and functional teams to align training with business processes and readiness activities
  • Translate Workday functionality into clear, role‑based training content for non‑technical users
  • Support training needs assessments and identify role‑based learning requirements
  • Assist with training coordination, scheduling, and learning management system (LMS) uploads
  • Update training materials based on testing outcomes, configuration changes, and feedback
  • Provide post‑training support during go‑live and stabilization periods

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Workday Trainer, Training Specialist, or HRIS Trainer supporting enterprise HR systems
  • Hands‑on knowledge of Workday (HR, Payroll, Recruiting, or Financials) in a training or functional capacity
  • Strong understanding of HR and/or Finance business processes
  • Experience creating end‑user training materials for large, complex organizations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience supporting large‑scale Workday implementations or major system transitions
  • Familiarity with change management principles and user adoption strategies
  • Experience supporting post‑go‑live training and system optimization
