Work Study Student
The Work Study Student will support the Office of Testing Services as an Office Assistant on the Swainsboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Employment is contingent upon funding. Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional customer service
- Assists with administering exams
- Assists with scheduling appointments
- Supports and responds to questions
- Follows all testing procedures
- Maintains confidentiality
- Assists with making copies
- Develops flyers for programs, Marketing materials, and press releases
- Explains the registration processes for various exams
- Completes projects for the Academic Success Center
- Learns the policies for exams administered by the Office of Testing Services
- Assists with answering the office phones and responding to emails
- Keeps the office and desk organized
Shift Specifics: Up to 14 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Shifts available Monday - Thursday
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
- Other Required Qualifications: Must be Federal Work eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred Education: Have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA for students who are not in their first semester
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience working in an office
Proposed Salary: $12.00 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
