Work Study, Student Support (Student Affairs)

Learning Objectives:

The responsibility of the Student Accessibility Services is to provide support services for students with disabilities here at the Eastern Campus. The office supports students with disabilities at any Tri-C campus; common disability types include learning disabilities, sensory limitations, psychiatric conditions, physical mobility conditions, and chronic health issues. In this role, you will:

  • Develop professional competencies in customer service and communication
  • Assist peers with college systems, resources, and processes
  • Build your teamwork and problem-solving skills by working collaboratively with other student employees and staff
  • Enhance leadership, teamwork, and intercultural competence by supporting campus events and engaging with diverse student populations
  • Answer phone and take messages
  • Clerical duties such as filing, open mail, and copying
  • Assist with special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester; maintain satisfactory academic progress; adhere to College's confidentiality policy; successfully pass background/drug screening; answer phone and take messages; clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing; open and sort mail; strong interpersonal communication skills; willingness to learn new technology; assist with special projects; other duties as assigned.
