Job Description
Learning Objectives:
1. Customer Service & Communication
By the end of the semester, the student will be able to confidently greet, assist, and troubleshoot basic questions from students using the lab.
2. Technical Proficiency & Problem-Solving
By the end of the semester, the student will be able to independently identify and resolve common lab issues (e.g., login problems, printing errors, software navigation) and know when and how to escalate more complex problems to full-time staff.
3. Workplace Professionalism & Responsibility
By the end of the semester, the student will demonstrate reliable, professional workplace behavior, including punctuality, task ownership, and accurate documentation of lab usage or incidents.
- Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
- Adhere to College's confidentiality policy;
- Successfully pass background/drug screening;
- Answer phone and take messages;
- Clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing;
- Open and sort mail;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills;
- Willingness to learn new technology;
- Assist with special projects;
- Other duties as assigned.
