Job Summary:
This position supports the Advancement Services staff with varied functions of research, records management, and general support. This position is responsible for accurate database entry and organization, assisting staff members in assembling mailed appeals and letters, providing information to staff, and other duties as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff with development research using online sources and hard copy texts and developing reports to show completed research in a concise and professional manner.
  • General clerical duties and front desk support (e.g., answering phones and routing calls, filing, copying various materials, operating all office machines; maintaining files, and processing information of a confidential nature.) Provide information and assistance to visitors.
  • Assists with other areas of University Advancement including but not limited to data entry, event assistance, and donor recognition.

  • Ability to handle confidential material
  • Ability to use professional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to use effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use basic office machines, basic computer programs, email/social media/website, and spreadsheet computer software
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload efficiently and in a timely manner in order to complete job responsibilities
  • Ability to provide extreme attention to detail and be self-motivated
  • Ability to learn new software and comfortable working with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Education and Experience:
  • Must be a regular, full-time student, enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester
  • Must have a completed FAFSA on file with Financial Aid for the current academic year
