To support a growing commercial real estate team, the full-time Commercial Underwriting Counsel will provide underwriting support and guidance for title insurance commitments and policies, working in a hybrid capacity from Madison/Milwaukee, WI, or remotely. Key responsibilities Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization related to real estate title insurance commitments and policies Utilize underwriting standards and guidelines to underwrite the issuance of title insurance within delegated authority limits Guide company personnel in the performance of real estate settlement services and issue underwriting standards in accordance with company processes Required qualifications 5-7 years of title underwriting experience, with a preference for commercial experience Law Degree required and must be admitted to practice law in the state of employment Licensed to practice law and in good standing Familiarity with real estate law and strong understanding of title and settlement processes Strong analytical skills and business acumen
