Wiring AssemblerThis role focuses on assembling and wiring switchboard and switchgear products on the shop floor according to customer orders. You will work with complex assemblies and subassemblies that can contain extensive wiring, including PLCs, circuit monitors, and other advanced electronic devices. The position requires strong technical wiring skills, the ability to interpret detailed documentation, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesAssemble and wire a variety of complex switchboard and switchgear assemblies and subassemblies according to customer specifications.Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, material lists, and other technical documents to complete wiring tasks accurately.Install and connect PLCs, circuit monitors, and other advanced electronic devices as part of switchgear assemblies.Follow checklists, wiring labels, and bills of materials to ensure correct components and wiring routes are used.Use basic wiring hand tools to cut, strip, crimp, terminate, and secure wiring in accordance with established standards.Start with simpler wiring tasks and progressively take on larger and more complex panels as experience is gained.Lift, position, and hold assembly parts weighing up to 35 pounds repeatedly throughout the work period.Inspect work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards before passing assemblies to the next stage.Collaborate with team members and work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.Support production demands by working periodic overtime on short notice when required to meet customer service commitments.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.Essential SkillsProven wiring experience in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or similar environment.Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and blueprints accurately.Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in electrical assembly and wiring techniques.Ability to use basic wiring hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, and screwdrivers safely and efficiently.Strong attention to detail to follow checklists, wiring labels, and bills of materials without errors.Physical ability to lift and hold assembly parts up to 35 pounds repeatedly during the shift.High level of motivation and self-direction, with the ability to work productively with minimal supervision.Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a production environment.Reliable work history demonstrating good attendance and performance.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience wiring switchgear or switchboard products is a plus.Technical wiring certificate from a technical school is highly beneficial.Technical associate degree in an electrical or related field is an advantage.Experience as an electrician or electrician's assistant in commercial or industrial settings is valuable.Experience as an electrical helper within commercial or industrial construction is helpful.HVAC certification or experience with HVAC electrical wiring is considered a plus.Experience with electrical wiring in vehicles or other specialized equipment is beneficial.Prior manufacturing experience in an electrical assembly or wiring role is preferred.Willingness to work periodic overtime on short notice to meet production and customer needs.Why Work Here?You will join a large, established manufacturing facility that offers stable work, structured shifts, and opportunities to grow your skills from simpler wiring tasks to more complex panel assemblies. Standard shifts include a day shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm) and an evening shift (Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm–2:00 am), with a shift differential offered for night shift work.

The role is hands-on and performed on the shop floor, requiring frequent lifting and positioning of parts up to 35 pounds and regular use of standard electrical and wiring hand tools. The environment is team-oriented, production-focused, and designed to support safe, efficient electrical assembly work.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, SC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
