Wireroom Technician Job Summary The Wireroom Technician is responsible for accurately cutting, wrapping, labeling, and staging wire materials to support customer orders and inventory needs. This role ensures wire-cutting equipment is operated correctly, materials are handled safely, and inventory is maintained in an organized and accurate manner. The Wireroom Technician works independently or as part of a team to meet production and quality standards while adhering to established safety and operational procedures. Essential Functions ? Cut, wrap, tie, label, and place wire materials onto appropriate reels in accordance with order specifications and procedures. ? Measure, shorten, and stage wire materials onto designated racks or storage locations. ? Operate wire-cutting machines to ensure accurate measurement, cutting, and striping of wire. ? Monitor wire-cutting equipment controls, including thickness, pressure, cutting length, and striping length, to ensure accuracy and quality. ? Verify completed wire orders for accuracy prior to staging or shipment. ? Follow established techniques and procedures when working in wire-cutting machine areas. ? Assist with maintaining accurate wireroom inventory through proper storage, labeling, and staging of materials. ? Support cycle counts and inventory verification activities as assigned. ? Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain clean, organized, and safe wireroom and warehouse areas. ? Follow all safety rules, equipment guidelines, and procedures as outlined in the Inline Electric Supply Safety Handbook. ? Communicate equipment issues, inventory concerns, or safety hazards to supervision promptly. ? Work independently to complete assigned tasks while contributing to team-based wireroom operations. ? Operate forklifts or material-handling equipment as assigned (certification preferred where applicable). ? Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the department manager or leadership team. Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. ? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. ? Clear verbal communication skills. Education & Experience ? High school diploma or equivalent. ? Prior wireroom, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred. ? Valid drivers license with an approved motor vehicle record. ? Forklift certification preferred but not required. ? Compliance with company drug-free workplace requirements. ? Ability to maintain any required health or safety certifications applicable to the role. Physical Requirements ? Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. ? Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing 5 pounds or more. ? Ability to bend, crouch, climb, reach, and grasp materials as required. ?
