In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm and inviting experience as they visit our winery. Your role will involve greeting guests, managing reservations, facilitating tastings, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced and enjoyable environment.This full-time role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to work evening shifts as needed.Job DescriptionGuest Reception and Engagement: Welcomes guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a positive first impressionAnswers questions about the winery, its history, and the products offeredGuides visitors to the appropriate tasting areas, tours, or eventsReservation Management: Handles phone and online inquiries regarding reservations, events, and toursSchedules and confirm bookings, ensuring proper coordination with other winery departmentsTasting Room Support: Assists in setting up and organizing the tasting room and reception areaFacilitates wine tastings by explaining wine selections, pairing suggestions, and unique characteristicsRetail and Sales Assistance: Promotes and processes wine and merchandise salesAssists guests with purchasing wine club memberships or special event ticketsAdministrative Tasks: Maintains accurate records of reservations, visitor counts, and purchasesHandles guest feedback and escalates issues to management as neededEvent Support: Supports winery-hosted events, including private tours, corporate gatherings, and weddingsProvides logistical support and maintain an upbeat atmosphere during eventsQualificationsPrevious experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field (preferably in the wine or beverage industry); experience in a restaurant is preferred but not requiredRBS and Food Handler Certifications required, or must be willing to complete certifications independently and at personal cost shortly upon hireBasic knowledge of wines and the wine-making process (willingness to learn is a plus)Proficiency with reservation software and basic office tools; Tock, Commerce 7Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as neededAbility to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environmentAbility to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a teamAttention to detail to ensure areas and dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitizedStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHigh School diploma or equivalentPay Range: $24.00 - $26.00 an hour.
