Senior Windows Server System AdministratorThe client is seeking an experienced Senior Windows Server System Administrator to design, implement, and maintain their enterprise Windows server infrastructure.Core Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group PolicyLead the planning and execution of server upgrades, patches, and maintenance activitiesManage and optimize virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware) and cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS)Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutionsMonitor system performance and capacity planningDevelop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and proceduresProvide escalated technical support and troubleshootingMentor junior system administrators and provide technical guidanceParticipate in on-call rotation for critical system supportTechnical Requirements:Required Skills:7+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCPStrong experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V and/or VMware)Proven experience with backup and disaster recovery solutionsExperience with PowerShell scripting and automationKnowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimizationMicrosoft certifications (MCSE, MCSA, or newer role-based certifications)Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)Knowledge of configuration management tools (SCCM, Ansible)Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with DevOps practices and toolsExperience with security compliance frameworks HIPAAPreferred Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesExperience leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior staffStrong documentation and process development skillsAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teamsEducation:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fieldAdvanced technical certifications preferredCompensation: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour
