Base pay range

$65.00/hr - $85.00/hr

Role Responsibilities

• Support Platform Operations by administering Windows server infrastructure on-premises and in cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
• Analyze, log, track, and resolve software/hardware issues related to server operating systems and services.
• Manage Windows Server ticket queue, resolve issues, and provide 1st and 2nd level support for all Windows server platforms and applications.
• Proactively tune servers and monitor performance using tools like SCOM, Splunk, and OBM.
• Identify and repair inconsistent Windows server configurations, including drift configurations on Citrix and VMware systems.
• Standardize and automate systems, tasks, and workflows using PowerShell.
• Participate in infrastructure project design, implementation, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Generate reports for daily checks, real-time monitoring, and capacity management to support infrastructure needs.
• Operate within an Agile framework, providing regular updates on project progress.
• Document all processes and ensure their consistent application across the global Windows server landscape.
• Provide weekend support on a rotational basis.
• Respond promptly to escalated support requests.
• Ensure Windows servers are regularly updated with security patches and that all security measures are compliant with company standards.

Experience

• Advanced experience administering Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), with proficiency in Active Directory, SharePoint, and MS Exchange.
• Expertise in VMware (ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, vSAN, TKGI), with a solid understanding of virtualization concepts like resource allocation, high availability, load balancing, storage, and networking.
• Strong expertise in Citrix technologies (VDI, XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, DaaS), including Citrix Provisioning Services, Machine Creation Services, and Citrix Cloud.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365 administration, including user/group management, security, compliance, and identity/access management.
• Proficiency in DNS, DFS, DHCP, IIS, NTFS, Group Policy, Remote Desktop Services, Print Services, and strong knowledge of TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and load balancing.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for automation, with experience in Agile project management.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Azure and AWS.
• Strong understanding of security principles, including patch deployment and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing HP and DELL server hardware, including rack-mounted and blade servers.
• Knowledge of tools like BigFix, SCCM, SCOM, FACSys, Canon SecurePrint (UniFlow), and CyberArk.
