Description
Summary: This Position requires proven leadership skills, experience in retail sales, merchandising, display, marketing, and advertising. This is a fun, fast-paced work environment where the manager works side by side with staff and consumers to provide excellent customer service and produce a high standard of work.
Reports to: Associate Director of Retail Operations
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Direct Reports: Whitefish Thrift Store Personnel
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assign responsibilities and duties to staff and consumers with a daily checklist.
- Coordinate pricing policies and procedures with the store program manager for processing and receiving on merchandising according to company requirements for profitability.
- Coordinate sales promotions, special activities, and merchandise displays.
- Plan and coordinate daily work schedules for staff and consumers.
- Maintain operations records and prepare daily transaction records.
- Be actively involved in stocking, organizing, and replenishing merchandise on racks and shelves to maintain a prosperous image.
- Assist customers with inquiries and complaints.
- Encourage, assist, and train employees to become a motivated member of the team.
- Take full responsibility for the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store in accordance with the standards recommended by the store program manager and dictated by company policy.
- Oversee and interact when necessary to ensure customer / consumers relation are appropriate according to company standards.
- Have full knowledge of PSP process, required daily documentation, and Incident Management per police set forth by Developmental Disability Program. (training provided)
- Be intimately familiar with the Policies and Procedures Manual for Flathead Industries and adhere to said policies and procedures by example and rule.

Requirements
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, contributors, customers, co-workers, and consumers.
- Ability to develop and motivate a team of up to 10 staff and consumers.
- Ability to resolve complaints and problems as they arise with customers, consumers, and co-workers.
- Ability to lift or manipulate 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, write, and count to accurately complete any and all documentation.
- Ability and willingness to fill in where needed in the Flathead Industries Thrift Store System which includes the Kalispell Thrift Manager, Missoula Thrift Manager, and Columbia Falls {Glacier} Thrift Manager, Clearance Store Manager and Online Store Manager.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass required training such as CPR, First Aid, Mandt, and Medication Certification.
- Possession of a current Montana driver’s license.
