A boutique manager oversees all aspects of daily store operations to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and efficient business performance.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and manage staff—including assistant managers, sales representatives, and cashiers; make staffing decisions and conduct terminations when necessary.
- Prepare and process payroll; manage cash flow, deposit cash and checks, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
- Oversee inventory, pricing, and display of merchandise; design window displays and arrange in‑store displays to attract buyers.
- Plan and implement store promotions; manage sales, exchanges, and returns.
- Set and supervise opening and closing procedures; establish operating hours and delegate responsibility to appropriate staff.
- Respond to customer greetings, complaints, and requests; maintain a welcoming environment.
- Monitor daily sales movement and ensure cash and checks are transferred to the store’s bank account.
