Modine is a global company headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin (U.S.), with operations in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.Position DescriptionThe welding assembler role will be dedicated to a particular department on the assembly line performing welding work when needed. When welding work is not needed, this person will assist with general assembly within the department.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble and weld commercial and industrial assemblies/fabrications related to HVAC units and supporting equipmentPerform welding operations on multiple materials, including: Carbon and structural steel using MIG (GMAW) Aluminum using a MIG spool gun Thin gauge stainless steel using TIG (GTAW) This gauge stainless steel using MIG (GMAW)Accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine part orientation, weld symbols, dimensions, and assembly layoutEnsure precise fit up, layout, and weld quality to meet print requirements and company standardsWork closely with the Lead Welder or Supervisor to meet standard operating procedures, production schedules, and quality expectationsMaintain a safe and organized work area while following all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
