We focus on what our customer needs on the jobsite – a machine that holds up in the toughest environment and increases their productivity.At JCB, we stand behind our products – and our name.Position PurposeThis position is responsible for performing fabrication operations and activities involved in the production of Skid Steers, Backhoe Loaders and other units of equipment that are manufactured at JCB North America headquarters.Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesPerform general labor operations such as load/unload parts, grinding, scraping and nibbling fabricationsOperate fabrication fixturesPerform general labor operations such as load/unload parts, in a press brakeAble to perform semi-automatic GMAW (MIG) welding; Shielded Metal Arc welding and TIG weldingApply Problem Solving Tools and Techniques to assist Fabrication in the elimination of defectsOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsTwo years of experience in fabrication or related fieldHigh school diplomaMust pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests as applicablePreferred QualificationsCertification in welding technologyFive years of experience in fabrication or related fieldExperience in heavy equipment manufacturingKnowledge, Skills, Abilities & CompetenciesKeen vision and mental alertness are requiredKnowledge and ability to perform bending processes or the demonstrated ability to learnEffective communication and problem-solving skillsDetail orientedMulti-task while maintaining a sense of urgencyFlexibility with work activities; available for overtimeAbility to operate the JCB range of equipment or demonstrated ability to learnOperate the following equipment: grinders, manual, semi-automatic and robotic welding machines, bending presses, lasers and various hand toolsMust wear Personal Protective Equipment as requiredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
