Welder / FabricatorA growing Tulsa-area manufacturer is seeking experienced Welders/Fabricators to support the production of custom industrial equipment and fabricated assemblies.This position is responsible for fitting, welding, and assembling structural components according to drawings and production specifications. The ideal candidate can read fabrication prints, produce quality welds, and work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFit, weld, and assemble fabricated metal components and structural assemblies.Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and dimensional specifications.Perform welding using MIG and flux-core processes.Measure, position, align, and secure components before welding.Inspect materials and completed welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.Use grinders, saws, torches, clamps, measuring devices, and other fabrication tools.Complete tack welding, final welding, grinding, and finishing as required.Verify dimensions using tape measures, squares, levels, and other inspection tools.Identify drawing discrepancies, material issues, or fabrication concerns and communicate them to supervision.Follow established welding procedures, production instructions, and quality requirements.Maintain an organized and safe work area.Assist with general fabrication, material handling, and assembly duties as needed.Required QualificationsPrevious welding or metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with MIG or flux-core welding.Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols.Experience fitting and welding structural steel or fabricated assemblies.Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use basic inspection tools.Understanding of weld preparation, joint fit-up, and distortion control.Ability to pass a hands-on welding test.Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.Reliable attendance and the ability to meet production deadlines.Preferred QualificationsVocational or technical training in welding.Experience welding carbon steel.Experience fabricating frames, skids, platforms, enclosures, or similar industrial assemblies.Familiarity with fillet welds, groove welds, multi-pass welds, and out-of-position welding.Experience using overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment.Familiarity with welding procedure specifications and manufacturing quality standards.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in different positions throughout the shift.Ability to lift and move materials and equipment commonly used in a fabrication environment.Ability to work around welding fumes, sparks, heat, noise, and moving equipment.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in an industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility. Employees will work around welding equipment, machinery, fabricated steel, cranes, and material-handling equipment.
