Welder - Miscellaneous Metals & Structural Steel

Ensley Iron is hiring a full-time welder for our fabrication shop in Birmingham.

We fabricate commercial stairs, handrails, guardrails, balconies, ladders, platforms, and other miscellaneous metals projects. We're a growing company looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Weld miscellaneous metals and light structural steel components
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Fabricate stairs, handrails, guardrails, balconies, ladders, platforms, and custom steel products
- Verify dimensions and maintain quality standards throughout fabrication
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Work with the fabrication team to meet production schedules

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- MIG welding experience
- Ability to read fabrication drawings
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass an in-shop weld test
- Ability to work in the United States

***Experience with FCAW, miscellaneous metals, or structural steel fabrication is a plus, but not required
