Welder – 2nd Shift – Lucas, KSLand Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 2nd Shift Welder for our facility in Lucas, KS. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLoad fixtures and weld parts as requiredSafely use all tools necessary for the positionMaintain inventory accuracy at all timesRead blueprints and utilize AWS weld symbols as required for the positionConsistently achieve quality welds while staying on production scheduleOther duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.Preferred Skills and Qualifications:MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test, as required.Ability to give strong attention to detail and stay on-task in a fast-paced environmentHave a good understanding of team concepts and be a strong team playerAbility to read blueprints and recognize AWS weld symbolsAbility to safely use hand and power tools and welding equipmentCapable of embracing a culture of Lean Manufacturing and willing to accept/implement changeAbility to follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipmentAt Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
