WelderWe're seeking a skilled welder to join our metal fabrication team. This is a critical role in our production operation, where you'll work on pressing and assembling metal parts that serve various industrial applications. This is a 1st shift role with a schedule of Monday - Friday from 7am-3:30pm.How You Will HelpOperate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, or combination) to join metal components according to specifications and blueprintsInspect welds for quality, alignment, and adherence to engineering standards before parts move to next production stagePrepare metal surfaces through grinding, cleaning, and degreasing to ensure proper weld integrityMaintain welding equipment and notify maintenance of any malfunctions or needed repairsRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications accuratelyWork with pressing operations to coordinate seamless part assembly and material flowMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work station; follow all safety protocols and lockout/tagout proceduresMeet production quotas and quality standards while working independently during 3rd shiftCommunicate clearly with shift supervisors and team members regarding production status and issuesSupport continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and quality concernsWhat You Will BringEssential:2+ years of hands-on welding experience in a production or fabrication environmentProficiency with MIG welding; experience with TIG or Stick welding is a plusAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbolsStrong understanding of welding safety standards and metallurgy basicsExperience with metal fabrication processes and press operations preferredAbility to work the 3rd shift schedule consistently and reliablyAbility to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 50 lbs regularly)Attention to detail and commitment to quality over speedDesired:Welding certification (AWS or equivalent)Experience with CNC or automated welding equipmentFamiliarity with quality control tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturingKnowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principlesAbout ASC Engineered SolutionsFollowing the 2019 merger of Anvil International and Smith-Cooper International, the unified company relaunched in March 2021 as ASC Engineered Solutions.
