Welder Position in Glendale, AZWe are seeking a skilled and certified welder to join our team in Glendale, AZ. As a welder, you will be responsible for setting up and operating welding systems according to established procedures and ensuring high-quality standards.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate manual and automatic welding systems per work instructions and best welding practices.Position and adjust fixtures, attachments, or workpieces on machines using visual acuity, hand tools, and measuring devices.Adjust processes within procedural limits to achieve conformance standards.Read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements.Perform pre-weld cleaning and handling of parts.Inspect hardware to ensure specifications are met through visual inspection and measuring devices.Maintain a high level of performance while following appropriate procedures and observing all safety rules and requirements.Keep the work area and equipment organized, clean, and FOD-free.Obtain and maintain all required qualifications and certifications in appropriate metals.Perform setup and troubleshooting of weld equipment.Understand general and weld-specific safety issues.Provide guidance to less experienced welders as necessary.Assist with skill development, safety, and other training of welders.Collaborate with Engineering to develop weld processes and resolve weld issues.Troubleshoot all weld equipment in a team environment to maintain operational needs.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.At least 8 years of welding or related experience, or demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilities.Ability to become certified to AWS D17.1.2001.Ability to read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements.Demonstrate manual dexterity.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.Effective English verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
